As the 2022-2023 NHL Regular Season draws closer the one constant surrounding the Philadelphia Flyers are question marks. There are an abundance of uncertainties heading into the upcoming season in various different areas of the roster. The most notable would likely be, how players adapt to Tortorella and his system, Tony DeAngelo’s performance and if the young forwards will take a step forward (Tippett, Frost, Cates, Farabee).
Within the lack of certainty regarding all of the above lies a fresh perspective. The Flyers do have a wealth of young forward prospects who could have the potential to make an impact and prove themselves. Such as the following: Tyson Foerster, Owen Tippett, Wade Allison, Morgan Frost and Noah Cares, Tanner Laczynski and Isaac Ratcliffe.Â
Due to a number of prospects possibly being afforded the opportunity of a full time NHL roster spot. It’s fairly likely at least one of those players has a breakout season and becomes a contributor for the Flyers.
With that in mind, the only question remains as to which prospect that may be and at what level will they start to contribute. Or can multiple prospects become full time NHL contributors next season? Only time will tell as we rapidly approach training camp.
