Ughhhhhhh what a bad loss the Eagles just sustained this past Sunday to the lowly, now 3-9 Miami Dolphins team. The Flyers used to down play opponents they should beat outright, however during the month of November this trend was anything but.

The Flyers finished the month of November with a 10-2-4 record. They tied the franchise record in points in a single month with 24, a record that has stood since 1990. This young Flyers team showed Philadelphians’ that they are for real, and they are the cream of the crop in this city in regards to Philadelphia sports. Finalllllllly right!!!!

Unfortunately, the Eagles now sit at 5-7, and are on the outside looking in for a playoff spot. It’s ashame for a team that had Super Bowl aspirations again before the season began. The Flyers on the other hand sit in third place in the tough Metropolitan Division, and it’s time for radio stations throughout the City of Philadelphia to start giving them due diligence.

The Sixers are riding a three game winning streak, but they have been squeaking out some games here as of late to teams they should crush (New York Knicks twice), to which some people have been on edge with them. Enter the Flyers, a team that some pundits said wouldn’t even sniff the playoffs this season before the season began, let alone sit in third place in the Metro, just 1/3 of the season in.

Football reigns supreme in Philly, for good reason, but the Flyers are red-hot entering December. Hockey is fun again, and it’s time for the radio stations throughout the Philadelphia region to rally behind the orange and black.

  1. Still wouldn’t call the Flyers the “talk of the town” because quite honestly they never will be unless they’re making a deep run in the playoffs. It’s just how hockey is seen in Philly. Great fan base compared to 90% of the the NHL, but still the clear #4 sport in the city.
