The Flyers officially placed forward Tyson Foerster on injured reserve today (December 2, 2025) with a Upper-Body injury, retroactive to December 1. What happened?

- He scored a goal off a one timer and immediately fell to the ice in pain and grimace, while holding his right arm. Foerster immediately left the ice, and went down the tunnel.
- Coach Rick Tocchet: “He’s a good player. I hope it’s not long. Obviously, he’s a big part of our team.”
Timeline
- Out tomorrow night against the Buffalo Sabres, and he is considered month to month. He will be out 2-3 months, per Flyers’ General Manager Danny Briere
- Will be reevaluated in 3-4 weeks, or possibly longer

With the Foerster injury, the Flyers will recall Alex Bump , presumably, from Lehigh Valley. Unfortunately, the loss of Foerster is a big one (4 goals, 7 points in 11 GP). He has been one of Philly’s most consistent forwards on the Cates-Brink line. Owen Tippett has slid over to replace him there.
