Tyson Foerster is continuing to skate as part of his rehab from arm/upper-body surgery. He suffered the injury on December 1, 2025, against the Penguins. It initially looked like a 2-3 month absence, but he underwent surgery on December 15, 2025, and was expected to miss about five months—ruling him out for the rest of the 2025-26 regular season (and likely any playoffs unless the Flyers make a deep run).

As of today (March 24, 2026), Foerster has been joining the Flyers on their most recent California road trip, participating in morning skates and practices. He’s wearing a yellow non-contact jersey while doing rehab work, skating, and shooting pucks. This marks progress since his first team practice in Anaheim earlier in the week—the first time he’s been on the ice with the group since December.

Foerster has actively been skating in non-contact sessions, which is a positive step in his recovery. He’s traveling with the team and trending in the right direction, though there’s no clear timeline for a potential return this season—Head Coach Rick Tocchet has noted he’s progressing well but stopped short of confirming any comeback before the season ends.

More positively, Foerster was having a strong year before the injury (leading the Flyers in goals early on), so Flyers fans are hopeful to see him back healthy for the 2026-27 season, at the very least. Keep an eye on updates from the team’s practices!
