Tyson Foerster was back in the lineup last night for the Flyers against the Detroit Red Wings — and he made a hell of a return.
Foerster missed 49 games after taking a slap shot to the arm on December 1, 2025, which required surgery in mid-December. He was originally expected to be out for the rest of the regular season (about five months), but he’s ahead of schedule and cleared to play with just a week and a half left in the 2025-26 campaign.

Before the injury, Foerster was rolling: 10 goals and three assists in just 21 games (13 points total), averaging over 17 minutes a night, including solid power-play time. He was hitting his stride with multiple goals in recent outings.
Last night he skated on a line with Trevor Zegras and Owen Tippett, which could give the Flyers’ top-six some real juice as they’re pushing for a playoff spot. The timing was huge — home game, big matchup, and he’s been progressing well in practice.

Flyers fans have been waiting for this one. Welcome back, Tyson, as he scored a big goal last night. Foerster had juice, it was the Power Play that was a let down.
