What a game, what a memory, a powerhouse and the London Knights are now headed to the Memorial Cup Finals. This team just continues wreak havoc in OHL, a team that was designed by Knights general Manager Mark Hunter through the Covid pandemic.

Flyers’ prospect Denver Barkey has just had an unreal season for the Knights. Not only did he surpass 100 points during the regular season, he’s had an amazing playoff run, coupled with a strong Memorial Cup run now. Following last night’s massive victory, he now has one goal and three assists for the Knights in three games played during the Memorial Cup run. The Flyers top brass is usually in attendance, but Owen Tippett got a first-hand experience and look at Barkey last night.

Barkey just continues to make the right plays at the right times, and he comes up with a clutch goal or a nice saucer pass that eventually leads to a goal. The one area of his game that the Flyers need help with immediately is with the man advantage. Barkey has been accident as of late with the man advantage. What helps him is his hand-eye coordination, which ranks off the charts.

Another Flyers prospect that is excellent with the man advantage has been Oliver Bonk. Bonk is terrific, and he even has a nickname ‘Bumper Bonk’. That’s how strong he is with the man advantage.

Bonk had a nice pass to Easton Cowan that lead to the game winner for the Knights.

Believe it or not, Bonk has been terrific with his gap control, and point scoring for the Memorial Cup run. It’s not only just about offense for this young defenseman, but his defense has just been great. He’s breaking up plays, which leads to transition up the ice the other way. For his efforts, Bonk has one goal and three assists in three games played in the Memorial Cup. Bonk really is showcasing his talents, and what may come in the future with the orange and black.

Mark Hunter has built a powerhouse, and two Flyers prospects continue to lead the way for this heavily stacked Knights club. Both Flyers prospects are proving that they are more than capable of handling pressure, into more pressure, the better.
