Glove save Trevor Babin, and another spectacular glove save by Babin. Much like Carter Hart, Babin has a really good glove hand. He’s like a a magician, as he waives his glove hand in the air to capture the puck in his mitt.
Babin hails from Philadelphia, PA and hockey was in his blood practically from birth. Living in Philadelphia, one could only think that he is a huge Flyers fan, and he may have fine-tuned his skills in Voorhees, NJ at the Flyers practice rink at one time.
Babin, a 6’1 goalie took the next step in his hockey career, and is now a young prized possession of the Delaware Thunder. His numbers do not do him justice for just how good he has been, as he owns a .884 Save Percentage in 29 games played. Babin has been peppered with 45 to 55 shots a night. For instance, Babin made 48 saves on 50 shots faced last night in a 3-1 loss, which was good for a .960 Save Percentage. The guy has been a stone wall for the most part.
The young prized possession of the Thunder in Babin is just 23-years-old. He is a goaltender that Charlie Pens Sr. I’m sure wanted as soon as he could make him an offer. Babin has a history of success having won an EHL championship, is a former two time GMHL All-Star, and was recognized as a GMHL Goalie of the Year for his efforts.
The young 23-year-old in Babin has made 40 save performances seem like it’s a routine thing for the Thunder. As a matter of fact, Babin has made 936 saves to be exact in 29 games played this season for the Thunder, which is good enough for facing an average of 32 shots per game. In short, that’s a ton of shots, and a lot of weight on his shoulders.

It appears Babin is starting to gain some confidence between the pipes for the Thunder, so hopefully the team can start reaping the benefits here in the future. Babin’s unselfish play has catapulted him into a fan favorite in Harrington, Delaware.
Babin is a beast when it comes to stopping g a puck. We are luck to have him. Keep it up.
Rock star through and through, he is the reason I attend games in Harrington. Watching him is magic!
Great article but horrible picture. Does not look like him at all. Thank you for your kind words about my grandson. He definitely loves the sport and being in the net is his life’s goal. Let’s hope he succeeds in making his future bright in the net. All I ask of him is to do his best and so far I have not been disappointed by him.
Really sorry about the picture. I will definitely change it now. Trevor is stellar, a fan favorite. It was an honor writing this piece
Much better picture, thank you
I’ve had an on ice view watching him play, he’s probably one of if not the top goalies in the FPHL. Sees a ton of rubber every night and gives his team a chance to win
