Dropping two goals (one short-handed) and an assist in that game is huge, bringing his tournament totals to two goals and two assists in just two games played. And nice to see Travis Sanheim chipping in with an assist on one of those goals—talk about Flyers chemistry!!!
Team Canada absolutely dominated Latvia 7-1 at the World Championships. Canada’s offense was firing on all cylinders. Several Canadian players made significant contributions alongside Travis Konecny and Travis Sanheim. Kent Johnson also scored two goals, matching Konecny’s output.
Nathan MacKinnon and Macklin Celebrini each added a goal, with MacKinnon also recording assists. Sidney Crosby was pivotal with three assists, showcasing his playmaking ability. Marc-Andre Fleury, in goal, made 16 saves and earned player of the game honors in his World Championship debut. Bo Horvat contributed with an assist on MacKinnon’s goal.
