Flyers’ rookie Camp gets underway today, and it’s very much anticipated. Fans will flock the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees, NJ to catch their first glimpse of Matvei Michkov. The team is expecting long lines, and a packed parking lot, thus creating a travel nightmare outside.
It’s all good and fun, Michkov is here. Here are some cool things to know before rookie camp begins.
Notable weight gains
Matvei Michkov- previous weight 176 lbs, now weighs 190 lbs
Ethan Samson- previous weight 181 lbs, now weighs 200 lbs
Oliver Bonk- previous weight 179 lbs, now weighs 194 lbs.
All previous weights were obtained from Elite Prospects.
Nick Capone
Capone is a rookie camp invite, and a former Tampa Bay Lightning draft pick. He is signed to an AHL contract with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
He is a former Player for the University of Connecticut. He went unsigned by Tampa Bay, and signed a one-year deal with the Phantoms. Capone is 6’2 and weighs 216 pounds, who plays Right Wing.
How to watch the Rookie series and more information about practice
The rookie series games that will be held on Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th will be streamed on the Flyers website.
All practices are free and open to the public. Doors will open promptly at 10:30 a.m. to the Flyers Training Center. Please be courteous to staff, as all fans will have to enter through a metal detector.
