The Flyers came out scoring in the first period, before a person blinked it was 3-0. Louie Belpedio notched his first NHL goal today, one that was much needed for him. He got called up recently, and scored: How awesome is that!!!!
Bobby Brink scored another goal that made it 4-0. They kept the pressure on Buffalo since they won at the Wells Fargo Center in the first leg of the home and home. Brink now is tied in points for rookies with eight (3g,5a). He is trying to become the first Flyers to win the Calder Trophy (Rookie of the year).
The Flyers were outscoring Buffalo big time, but overall a win is a great, as the Flyers won 5-1. Yes the Flyers started quick, and were fast right out of the gate, “I just wanted them to continue to play their game, stick with it, fast. I thought we played really well in the loss the last game,” John Tortorella said following the game.
The Flyers need to continue to work on their Power Play. It’s really abysmal, and really their special teams as a whole. They were 2-9 on penalty kills in the past two games. If they can improve on that then they will be a great team while short-handed.
This was a great game for the Flyers they really need this win to get back in the win column. Today the Flyers will be facing the Los Angeles Kings at home. The Flyers need to forget their slide at home, and try to get a good home win at 7:30 pm.

There are some key injuries: Sean Couturier, Carter Hart, and now Felix Sandström. He left the game last night with an Upper Body injury. No one knows the severity of it, but he did not return.
