The United States Women’s Hockey Team has started off red-hot in Beijing. The defending champions use their speed to create crisp plays in game one, and today they used their physicality to grind out a dominant 5-0 victory against ROC (Russia).
One can say the unfortunate injury to Brianna Decker fueled the Americans today. She is the heartbeat and pulse of the team, and there is absolutely no doubt she had some kind words for the Americans before the game.
Savannah Harmon was on fire today with netting one goal, and registering two assists. Tomorrow the US Women’s Hockey Team plays Switzerland at 810am EST, as they continue their preliminary play.
