What a day for Flyers players at Worlds yesterday, in an exhibition against Hungary:

Travis Konecny- 1G, 2A

Travis Sanheim scored a goal, off a feed from Konecny. Not bad by any means in an exhibition against Hungary, especially for some Flyers players.

That was a solid showing by the Flyers’ duo in Canada’s 6-0 rout of Hungary during the pre-tournament exhibition for the 2025 IIHF World Championship! Travis Konecny lit it up with a goal and two assists, while Travis Sanheim chipped in a goal, thanks to a slick feed from Konecny. Not a bad way to kick things off in Budapest before the real action starts against Slovenia on May 10. Their chemistry as “the Travii” is clearly clicking—makes you wonder how they’ll carry that momentum into the tournament!

At the 2025 IIHF World Championship, Team Canada is gearing up for a strong showing in Stockholm, Sweden, and Herning, Denmark, from May 9-25. They’re coming off a fourth-place finish in 2024 and a gold medal in 2023, with a storied history of 28 gold medals, 16 silver, and 9 bronze since 1920.
