The Flyers and Alexei Kolosov have come to an agreement Thursday morning. The netminder, finally, yes finally, is on his way to Philadelphia. I can confirm this now. Kevin Weekes and Elliotte Friedman also confirmed it. He will see some pre-season game action, according to Elliote Friedman.

Represented now by Goldstar Hockey’s Dan Milstein, Kolosov made his 2023-24 season debut in dramatic fashion, as he pitched a 26 save shutout in a 6-0 Dinamo Minsk victory. For the season, he compiled a 22-21-3 record with a 2.39 GAA, and a .907 Save Percentage.

He played well this past season for the Dinamo Minsk in the KHL. Kolosov stands at 6’1 and weighs 187 pounds. He played in arguably the second toughest league in the world, as he moves laterally post to post well. Kolosov even suited up in two games for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last season, but was apparently homesick or he just didn’t want to play for the team. Kolosov, obviously failed to report for Rookie and Training Camps alike, but he is now on the way to Philly.

The stalemate is almost over, and kudos to Flyers’ General Manager Danny Briere for not caving in, and just letting things play out. I always thought he would return with him suiting up in Flyers gear a few months ago during practice.
