The losses of Matt and Johnny Gaudreau have impacted the hockey community throughout the World.
The Gaudreau family, friends, and community members would like to announce the Second Annual Gaudreau Family 5K Run/Walk & Family Day on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Washington Lake Park, Sewell, NJ.
“The lives of John and Matthew have left an indelible mark not just on our local community, but on countless individuals across the country and around the world,” said Michael Green in 2025, committee member of the inaugural event. “What makes this event truly special is that it’s not confined to the Greater Philadelphia area. We envision satellite events in cities like Columbus, Calgary, and Boston—and in every community touched by the inspiring legacy of these two remarkable young men.”

Virtual Option
For those that would like to participate, but cannot make it due to logistics or other various reasons. Have no fear, there is a virtual option. Participants include running the race solo in a 5k, families joining together for a walk, or communities hosting their own smaller events.
Children’s Activities
Children’s activities will include a 1-mile run and shorter kids’ dash, face-painting, games, and corn hole.

Johnny and Matt have left an everlasting love of hockey, throughout the community. They were so dedicated to their craft, and they touched the lives of many.
