Finally, the Flyers started playing some hockey again this week, geez what a long break, better late than never right Flyers fans? It seemed like forever ago the Flyers played some hockey, however, they played their butts off against the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Colorado Avalanche to earn three out of a possible four points this weekend. Without further delay, here are Ricky Brown’s videos from a Flyers week that was.

Niskanen told me before the break that he needed the break. Well, he sure looked good on this pass to Jake Voracek, who produces as usual.

One of the most underrated signings of the year for the Flyers. A hard-working Tyler pitlick pots his fifth of the year.

Like Pitlick, Laughton is as hard-working as they come. Good for Laughts here, and a big goal for the Flyers. The Flyers rallied back from a 3-1 deficit to steal a point against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Niskyyyyyy doing Nisky things.

JVR threads the needle again to Kevin Hayes. JVR now has (2g,4a) in the last six games played.

Rookie wall? Nah, Joel Farabee has beaten that. This was the first of two on the night.

What more can the human shield in Ivan Provorov do for his team. He would play this game on one leg if he had to. Provorov has been amazing this season.

Coooooooooots the elite Center himself threads another. Good gosh what a pass. He should win the Selke Trophy this year. Farabee now has (4g,2a) in the past six games played. For the season, Farabee has potted seven goals, and 11 assists.

Hayes is much like Keith Primeau. He is just so darn good for the orange and black. Here is his third short-handed goal of the year. It’s about time the Flyers have a threat while being short-handed.

What a week it was Flyers fans. The Flyers currently sit with the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference, and one point out of third place in the Metropolitan Division.

  1. When we have this season so great top-four on defense, we have every change to go far! We have Niskanen next season also but then we should find a long term replacement for him. via draft or trade! Seattle is coming to league by then, so after we protect Provorov, Sanheim and Myers in defense, we must have plan to find a great right shooting defense-man! That is why i was surprised, when we traded back in last summers draft to pick lefty in Cam York, when we had the chance to draft right shooting Victor Söderström, whom Arizona drafted right after that! Calgary”s young right shooting defense-man Rasmus Andersson would be great, but after the expansion draft, because it will be interesting if Calgary will protect him, or can we trade for him, when he”s at Seattle!
