The reading Royals have gotten off to a bit of a slow start to start the 2023-24 season. After last night’s thrilling victory they are now 8-12-2 on the season, in one main reason for this could be their goal differential of a -13 (69 goals for, 82 against). Fortunately, there is still plenty of the season to be had, and anything can happen.

fresh off his natural hat trick last weekend Shane Sellar tied the game last night against the Norfolk Admirals at four. This sent the game into overtime, where Matt Brown tallied the game winner. Brown impressed at Flyers Rookie Camp and at training camp, ultimately before getting sent back to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and/or Reading Royals.

Brayden Guy had the career night for the Royals, as he tallied his first multi-goal game for them. Guy has been a solid addition to the lineup.

Let’s see what happens with the Royals now, with moving forward this season. Sometimes all a team needs is one key victory like this to jumpstart a club. The Royals got off to a bit of a slow start last season, as well, but then went on a tear for the rest of the season.
