The Reading Royals are on fire, finally right!!! They are on a four game winning streak, as new Head Coach James Henry moves to 5-4-1 on the season. Nolan Maier registered his second victory of the season in a 6-2 dominant performance over the Worcester Railers last night. He made 30 saves on 32 shots faced, and was great at tracking the puck in this tilt.

Maier has been phenomenal between the pipes for the Royals this season. He has seen time with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and has split time between the pipes with Pat Nagle, as well. Maier is 2-2-1 on the season, with a 2.49 GAA, and a .899 Save Percentage. Very Impressive indeed from the rookie, as Maier is getting his first taste of professional hockey. He put forth excellent camps, so it comes as no surprise he’s excelling with the Royals.

Colin Felix is a veteran that stabilizes the youth of Reading, and he now has two goals and three assists on the season. Max Newton leads the team in goals with (8) now, and assists with five after his two goal night last night. He had a key goal in the victory last night. Alec Butcher and Brendan Hoffmann also scored for Reading. It just so happened to be Hoffmann’s first professional career goal.

The Royals seem to have everything clicking at the moment, so let’s hope it continues onto this weekend against a tough Adirondack Thunder Club. Both games will be held on Friday November 18 and Sunday November 20 in Reading. Get out to see this club, and wear your purple with pride.
