Unfortunately, Covid is reading it’s head again, and the NHL only has a handful of teams left to play tomorrow night. The NHL and NHLPA will indeed pause, effective December 22 (Wednesday) and will not resume games until December 27. Players will have to report a day early to get tested, and they are only entering for testing purposes, until their test comes back as negative. Sources, such as, Elliotte Friedman and Frank Seravalli we’re on it from the beginning.
The game still goes on tomorrow night for the Flyers, as they face the Washington Capitals, in what will be their final game before the holiday break, and the Pittsburgh Penguins game that was supposed to be held on Thursday night will now have to be made up. Fortunately, the Flyers will only have one game as of now to make up, given that two staff members, Kevin Hayes, Morgan Frost, and Max Willman are in Covid Protocol.
Flyers Injury Update:
Wade Allison is out with an elbow injury, and is seeing a specialist, per Chuck Fletcher
Ryan Ellis is “Still week to week” and is progressing according to Fletcher.
Kevin Hayes has entered Covid Protocol, and as of right now will not be available tomorrow.
Sean Couturier had a maintenance day, and will play tomorrow.
