Dan Vladar was injured during their game against the Buffalo Sabres on January 14, 2026.
Vladar left the game after the first period and did not return for the second. The Flyers officially announced that Vladar is out for the remainder of the game due to an undisclosed injury and will be re-evaluated afterward.
Samuel Ersson replaced him in net. This appears to have happened sometime in the first period, where he allowed 2 goals on 5 shots. Some observers noted he looked like he was laboring after a save and was slow to get up after a goal against.
Whatever the case maybe, losing Vladar leaves a gaping hole in the Flyers lineup.
