The Lehigh Valley Phantoms have had a different trajectory for their season for the past few years. While the Flyers have missed the playoffs for their fifth consecutive season, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on the other hand, clinched a playoff spot for the third consecutive season.
More importantly, the Phantoms have clinched a playoff spot for the fifth time since moving to Lehigh. Phantoms Head Coach Ian Laperrière has has done pretty side job with this bunch. Some key players have been recalled to the big club for a while, with the likes of Emil Andrae, Olle Lycksell, Aleksei Kolosov, and Rodrigo Abols..

Laperrière has brought the best out of Ethan Samson, as Samson now has a clear vision of being an NHL player at some point. He also has juggled Parker Gahagen and Cal Petersen well throughout the course of the year, after Kolosov has been recalled to the Flyers for a majority of the season.

Some young prospects are ready to help the Phantoms with their playoff push, with the likes of Jett Luchanko, Nikilta Grebenkin, Ty Murchison, and Alex Bump when is season is complete with Western Michigan. It will be interesting to see how each prospect is utilized, but it appears, at least for now, the Phantoms have some good weapons in their arsenal to make an extended playoff run.
