The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Philadelphia Flyers affiliate, have been up and down like a roller coaster all season long. Following Thursday’s defeat of the Hershey Bears 5-4, they have now won three straight games for the fourth time this season. Hopefully, the Phantoms will fare better with this three game winning, as their three game winning streaks in the past were followed by two five game skids and one four game skid.

Ethan Samson continues to impress. Samson scored a tally to make the score 3-1, and he now has six goals and six assists on the season in just 32 games played. Last season, Samson amassed 12 points in 63 games played. What a dramatic improvement for Samson from the year prior. He is becoming a stable defender at the professional level. Like I have noted before, he could see a recall in the future for his efforts.

Louie Belpedio chipped in with two assists, as did Garrett Wilson. Finally, Elliot Desnoyers produced, with notching a goal and an assist. The Hershey Bears are a great team, and that was evident with trailing 5-1, thus making it a game eventually.

Let’s hope the Phantoms can continue their winning ways, Friday January 10 against the Hartford Wolfpack.
