Flyers’ General Manager Chuck Fletcher provided an update of injuries last week, and the list just continues to grow for this struggling club. They are currently enduring a seven game losing streak, and the laundry list of players falling is unbelievable.

Sean Couturier is still out for 3 to 4 months, in his return is still around February/March. He is progressing, per Chuck Fletcher.

James van Riemsdyk is still out on that 6-week timetable, and he was giving that in late October. He’s also progressing, per Chuck Fletcher.

Bobby Brink return is still out under the 5-month umbrella and he was given that in July. He still falls under the original timetable for return, and he is progressing, per Chuck Fletcher.

Scott Laughton is out approximately two weeks for the Flyers with an upper body injury. As I previously stated this is a shoulder injury, not a concussion fortunately.

Travis Konecny is out 10-14 days with an upper body injury, but he was added to the injured reserve list today to make room for Egor Zamula.

Wade Allison now has a 2-3 week timetable, although he fell under that umbrella last week.

Let’s add a top pairing defenseman to the laundry list of injuries in Tony DeAngelo. DeAngelo appears to have injured his ankle of some sort, maybe after blocking a shot. He has been grimacing on the bench at times throughout the course of the game. Maybe it has gotten to the level that he needs a maintenance day or so. John Tortorella did say he expects him to play tomorrow against the New York Islanders, but he did say DeAngelo is banged up.

The good news from practice today is that Cam Atkinson fully practiced with the team today. He is fully cleared for contact, so that’s great news, although Tortorella did rule him out for tomorrow’s contest against the Islanders.

One last tidbit is there was no update given on the health of Ryan Ellis last week by Fletcher. Of course, he is presumably done for the season, per Chuck Fletcher during his first presser at Training Camp, but it would be nice to hear if he’s at least rehabbing or what not.

  1. Ellis will probably never wear a Flyers uniform again. he did not want to in the first place. In my opinion this injury happened when he was in Smashville and thats why they traded him for a scrub. Fletcher is such a crappy GM he thought it was a good deal. The best thing that can happen this season is they drop to 32nd in the league and get a real player in the draft. But for that to happen they need to fire their scouts first because they have no idea what talent is
