Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Hockey Writers Ink. As always Steel and I are here to give you a run down of all things Flyers that have happened in the past week. To start the show, we take a look at a Tale of Two Teams. Where both Steel and I were lucky enough to cover a couple of the Flyers games since our last show. Steel when they played the Capitals, and I when the Flyers took on the Oilers. When doing so we each got the chance to see a very different Flyers team play. Join us as we explain in further detail.
On the second segment of the show Steel and I break down one of my latest articles which explains why Giroux’s exodus may just be delayed. A coveted piece for sure as the trade deadline looms ever closer teams awaiting their chance to possibly acquire the Flyers’ long-time captain may just have to wait because Claude is about to hit a major milestone in his career.
In the last segment of the show, we discuss the possibility of a current Flyers player being traded that isn’t one the teams impending free agents. If this player (who is rumored to be on the trade block) is indeed moved by the deadline it could mean a monumental return coming back the Flyers way. The only question is just what might the Flyers be able to get for him in return to make it worth their wild?
