For decades under the watchful of then owner and founder, Ed Snider the Flyers always seemed to somehow remain relevant. Year in and year out the bullies from South Broad Street were able to beat and bang their way into the post season. In order to do that the teams management would commonly look acquire some of the greatest players to ever play this game. Sounds like a great plan, right? Well these players would more often than not be obtained only after having come to the tail end of their careers.
But our question is why can’t they do this once more? Only difference is this time it should be done with a twist. Intrigued? Tune in by clicking the link below.
In the second segment of the show Steel and I discuss in depth just how this team could preform a retool in one year’s time to turn this mediocre franchise into a playoff contender once more. In order to do so this means that some big changes will have to be made. Some of which will be hard to swallow but will be worth it in the long wrong.
So come watch or listen to see if you agree, and as always, we would love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below. Thank for watching and have a safe and Happy New Year!
