Welcome back to another addition of The Hockey Writers Ink. In this episode myself and Steel discuss the some big decisions that the Flyers and the NHL alike should be having this offseason.
In the first segment of the show, we discuss my article:
Which takes note of how well the CHL’s underage prospects have been playing in the AHL this season and how exciting the games have been this year. With that being said isn’t about time that the NHL and CHL do what’s right by its players and do away with this 40 some year-old agreement that doesn’t allow a player from any of the CHL leagues that is drafted and signed to play in the AHL until they are 20 years of age. Come watch to find out where we both stand on this topic.
In the second segment of the show, we look at another article that I wrote this past week.
To which I suggested that it might be time for Chuck Fletcher to get rid of some signed prospects that haven’t quite lived up to expectations in order to make room for some of his own prospects that are thriving. Come watch to see which ones we think stay and which ones we think should be brought into the fold next season and beyond.
With the Flyers disappointing season, this off season will come with great change. These are just a few suggestions and or hypotheses that this writer thinks are to come. Let me know if you agree.
