With the regular season now upon us the question is are the Flyers ready? In this show myself and Steel bring you some things to look forward to and some things to look out for.
First up is the position that has plagued us here in Philadelphia for so long. Goaltending!!!! After the last preseason game against the Caps a lot of fans questioned Chuck’s decision to bring in Jones. Can he step up when needed? Especially, in situations like last night when Carter Hart was off? Let’s discuss
In the second segment of the show we talk about how much of a culture change Fletcher made this off season, by moving out so many players cantankerous, and injury prone players just to bring back in established veteran players who play the game the right way to try and win now Fletcher showed that he is in a win now mode. In doing so, Chuck has put some unfulfilling prospects like the one mentioned in this article below on hold.
Whether this proves to help or hurt the team, we shall see but even though they lost against Vancouver they still were able to battle back from a couple points down to at least gain a point. That is something that the Flyers have been unable to do for some time.
To wrap up the show we take a stab at what teams have gotten better and just who has taken a step back in the Metro. Also, we take a look at just who are the teams new waiver wire acquisitions and what might they bring to the table.
