Back once again guys for another addition of The Hockey Writers Ink. The show where the Writer is fresh of the presses and the ink is not yet dry! With such a up and down roller coaster of a Flyers season thus far it’s hard to get a read on whether this team will in fact be buyers or sellers in a few weeks. In this episode of the show me and Steel take a deeper look into some of my latest articles that discuss some of these issues the state of the team

First up for discussion was: https://flyersnittygritty.com/with-all-the-flyers-problems-on-defense-and-lack-of-physicality-in-the-lineup-why-not-bring-this-now-healthy-bully-to-broad-street/

I posed the question with all the problems on the Flyers blue line this year why not give a now healthy Sam Morin a shot at defense? This Bully would look good on Broad Street and with players like Sanheim and Myers achieving a -6 rating in recent contest what could it hurt? He is a RFA at the seasons end and the Flyers need to figure out if he worth retaining again this off season.

In the second segment of the show, we dive into a juicy piece I wrote recently. https://flyersnittygritty.com/shame-on-flyers-alain-vigneault-for-calling-for-something-he-already-had-has-at-his-disposal/

With the lack of physical play from the Flyers becoming a concern in a lot of areas. I wrote this piece throwing out a theory of mine concerning the real root of this problem. One that I used plenty of examples of too back up my point. A theory that was even verified by one of the players that I wrote the piece on.  Proving that old habits really do die hard.

In the last segment of the show Steel surprises me with some rapid-fire questions I didn’t know were coming about the state of the team moving forward. Like the answers or not honesty was key here.

Come find out all the juicy details to all this and much more (by clicking the link below) for as always when the keyboards are off and the press box is closed the mics are just getting warmed up!     Â
