It’s no secret the Philadelphia Flyers are in a slide and with injuries beginning to pile up and no easy games to be had in the near future it may just be one they will not be able to climb out of this season. For far to long this year both management and the coaches have relied on the help of their depth. While that may work over short stretches throughout the course of the year when minor injuries occur, they should not be expected to endure this for months at a time.
To bring light to these topics Steel and I reference some points I made in the below articles last week.
In doing so it only brought up more questions surrounding the team.
- Do the Flyers try and put out fires and bring someone in? Chuck Fletcher has already moved mountains to bring in players to win this year in an effort to try and change the culture of the team.
- Did management build around the wrong guy in Hayes?
- Why has the youth movement not been what was promised?
- Why in 15 seasons haven’t they found Claude Giroux’s heir?
- Do they now try and convince Giroux to waive his no trade clause to get back NHL ready prospects?
So, come join us as we opine on all of these and many more.
