Stanley Cup Champion and Philadelphia icon Bernie Parent will be honored with a Public Celebration of Life on Friday November 21, 2025, and dedication game on November 22, 2025 at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
The team will unveil a jersey patch and on-ice marks behind the nets for home opener on October 13, 2025. Moreover, the Flyers will wear a jersey patch on the shoulder featuring Parent’s retired #1. Parent’s iconic number will also be prominently displayed on the ice surface where he built a dominant career – behind the net.
Parent was an original Flyer. He arrived in the Summer of 1967 to Philadelphia in the expansion draft. Parent did play in the club’s inaugural season (1967-68).
Both the patch and marks will be worn/displayed all season.
