The Flyers will have several representatives heading to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, Italy (often referred to as Milan-Cortina), for the men’s ice hockey tournament.

NHL players are participating for the first time since 2014, with the hockey events running from February 11–22, 2026.The Flyers are well-represented with four players and their head coach involved:
- Travis Sanheim (Defenseman) — Representing Team Canada. He’s expressed readiness to contribute in any role to help Canada chase gold.
- Rasmus Ristolainen (Defenseman) — Representing Team Finland.
- Dan Vladar (Goaltender) — Representing Team Czechia (Czech Republic). He’s one of three goalies on their roster.
- Rodrigo Ābols (Forward) — Representing Team Latvia, although he’s injured and won’t participate
Additionally, Flyers’ Head Coach Rick Tocchet is serving as an Assistant Coach for Team Canada. The team honored these Olympians before their most recent game prior to the Olympic break, and there was a press conference on February 5, 2026, featuring Tocchet, Sanheim, Vladar, and Ristolainen discussing their excitement about heading to Italy (with departures noted around Saturday night, February 7 or so, based on timing).

“I haven’t even thought about it too much, big game tonight, and worry about that tomorrow,” Ristolainen instead of making Team Finland and being prepared for the Olympics.
“I don’t think it’ll be too much. Not too concerned. It’s like any other sheet, in different buildings, throughout the league,” Travis Sanheim said on the different rink size in the Olympics:
This strong contingent highlights the Flyers’ talent on the international stage, with players spread across multiple national teams. The Olympics are underway now (as of early February 2026),
