On September 2, 2025, the Xfinity Mobile Arena, previously known as the Wells Fargo Center, officially unveiled its new signage in South Philadelphia.

The ceremony marked the transition to its new name, effective September 1, 2025, under a naming rights deal with Comcast Spectacor and Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) that runs through the 2030-31 season. The event featured Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty, Sixers mascot Franklin, the Flyers Ice Team, and the 76ers Drum Line.

The arena, home to the Philadelphia Flyers, 76ers, and Wings, also introduced a high-power WiFi network with speeds up to 10 times faster, making it the first East Coast arena to implement this technology. Additional celebrations included a live broadcast of WMMR’s Preston and Steve on September 3 and an event with former Eagles players Nick Foles and Fletcher Cox on September 4.

Sean Couturier and Travis Sanheim
Couturier and Sanheim were onhand for the signage unveiling. Both Couturier and Sanheim are in town approximately three weeks before training camp commences.
It’s great having Couturier and Sanheim back in the fold early, as both are seen as leaders For this young Flyers team.
