Unfortunately, lady luck wasn’t on the Flyers side at the draft lottery, as they will remain at pick 12. Mind you, they only had a 5.1% chance of moving up to the second overall pick, and they will remain where they finished the season for the second straight draft lottery.
The Flyers will get a very good prospect at pick 12. They could select from the likes of Tij Iginla, Cole Eiserman, Anton Silayev, Carter Yakemchuk, or Cayden Lindstrom. All of these names, of course, are not projections. They are just mentioned as possibilities, and it depends how teams draft above the Flyers. Anything can happen at the draft, there is a shocker every year that muffles up the draft board.
The draft lottery determines the order of selection for the first 16 picks in the first round of the NHL Draft. As previously noted in articles, the Flyers also have a lot of draft capital this draft season, and the orange and black also have the Florida Panthers pick late in the first round.
