The Flyers signed forward Christian Dvorak to a one-year, $5.4 million contract on July 1, 2025, as reported by TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun and Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Dvorak, a 29-year-old LW/Center, recorded 12 goals and 33 points in 82 regular-season games with the Montreal Canadiens in 2024-25, along with two goals in five playoff games. His career totals include 105 goals and 249 points in 534 games split between the Arizona Coyotes and Canadiens.

Some will knock this signing, but the Flyers weren’t going to go without a 4C into the 2025-26 season. With the lack of Center depth via free agency, this actually isn’t a bad deal.

Now this gives prospects like Rodrigo Abols, Massimo Rizzo, Jacob Gaucher, and Karsen Dorwart More time to prove that they are more than deserving of a spot. Also, Injuries will arise, as well.

Noah Juulsen

The Flyers also signed a RHD Defenseman Noah Juulsen to a one-year, one-way contract worth $900,000 on July 1, 2025, as reported by PuckPedia and hockey insider Rick Dhaliwal. This signing allows Rasmus Ristolainen to come back whenever he is healthy to do so, not rush based off need.

Juulsen, a 28-year-old former first-round pick (26th overall by Montreal in 2015), played 35 games for the Vancouver Canucks in the 2024-25 season, recording no points, 101 hits, and 57 blocked shots while averaging 16:17 of ice time. His season was cut short by a sports hernia surgery, with an expected recovery timeline of 12 weeks.

Juulsen has 157 career NHL games, with 3 goals and 17 points across stints with Montreal, Florida, and Vancouver.
