The Flyers played a good a good game against the Detroit Red Wings. They won decisively, 2-1 in overtime, moving the orange and black to 5-0-1 in their last six games played.

Rodrigo Abols made his NHL Debut last night, and played well. He played very well defensively and was physical, “It’s not your ordinary debut when you have your wife and three-year-old in the stands cheering you on for the solo lap,” Abols said following his NHL debut. “Hopefully, I can inspire someone. I’ve always looked at Pierre Bellamare, similar story.”

Fortunately, the Flyers stuck with their game plan, even after the Detroit Red Wings tied the game. The orange and black were physical and determined against the Red Wings to come away with two points on Pride night. Of course, the team missed the services of Scott Laughton, whom is a leader in the locker room.

On this night, however, Rasmus Ristolainen would not be denied the game winner:

Rasmus Ristolainen just came barreling in and potted the game winner, “I saw the puck on the line. I tried to take everyone out of the way and put the puck in,” Ristolainen said following the game.

Overall, this was a very good game for the Flyers, as they continue to find ways to win games right now.
