The game was physical to start, and it only took 16 seconds when Rangers forward Matt Rempe delivered a staggering hit in the corner to Cooper Zech. This particular hit seemed to piss off a 6’2 Wade Allison:
The Flyers took an early lead with a power-play goal from a sniper and right-winger Tyson Foerster. He has been labeled a sniper by his Head Coach Ian Laperrière, “He just grabbed that puck and sniped it. He’s a goal scorer. What I like about him, he loves to score goals,” Laperrière said Friday. Well, he made his coach proud today as Foerster tallied two goals on the afternoon. Foerster just seems to not disappoint anyone, as he scored one goal on the power play and at even strength.
This young 19-year-old in Foerster was on the top power play unit with Linus Sandin, whom scored two goals on the afternoon too, Morgan Frost, Egor Zamula, and Isaac Ratcliffe. Frost finished the game with one goal/two assists, Ratcliffe finished with an assist, Sandin finished with two goals/one assist, and Zamula finished with two assists. This too power play unit was rocking.
The Flyers pulled ahead when another right winger in Linus Sandin scored his second goal of the game late in the period to seal the 6-3 victory for the Flyers rookies.
Wyatte Who?
Blocking shots is an art and Wyatte Wylie does that well, especially blocking one shot off his arm I believe in the third period of this tilt. He made some nice crisp passes today, as well, and finished the game with two assists. Putting forth this type of effort in a scrimmage like atmosphere really speaks volumes to how much he wants it. All in all don’t forget about him in the pipeline.
