The Flyers had a busy day today. They have placed seven players on waivers. Here are the list of players the Flyers waived today:

Chris Bigras

Andy Andreoff

Tyler Wotherspoon

Alex Lyon

Nate Prosser

Derrick Pouliot

Samuel Morin

Judging from this list it appears Mark Friedman has made the 23 man roster. In addition, it appears that Carsen Twarynski, Connor Bunnaman, and Linus Sandin are battling for the 13th Forward spot. Moreover, Morin, Andreoff, and Lyon could be a makeup of the Taxi Squad Roster. Morin played a solid game last night, he was physical, had some scoring chances, set up Wyatte Wylie with a nice feed in the second period to which Wylie hit post. Simply put, he played a solid game. However, I do expect him to clear waivers.

The Flyers are likely to head into Wednesday night’s tilt carrying 13 Forwards, 8 Defensemen, and 2 Goalies. I never doubted Friedman, as I wrote yesterday I had a good feeling he would make the team since he is no longer waiver exempt. Most NHL teams covet Right-Handed Defenseman, so the likelihood of him getting claimed was high.

In the end, I do not expect any of these players to get claimed. Let’s not forget that Nicolas AubĂ©-Kubel was waived last year, and he cleared waivers. These are great problems for the Flyers to have. They just have so much depth. Lettttt’s gooooo Flyerssssss
