The Flyers made a trade with their arch rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins. Flyers’ General Manager Danny Briere trade picks 22 and 31, to select a guy they wanted all along in Jack Nesbitt. Brandon Graham read the pick.
Nesbitt was the Flyers guy all along, according to Briere. Who is Nesbitt?

He is a young ice hockey player, born January 12, 2007, in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. He is a 6’4, 183-pound center who plays for the Windsor Spitfires in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
Nesbitt is is known for his significant improvement in the 2024-25 season, where he recorded 64 points (25 goals, 39 assists) in 65 games. He is recognized for his size, hockey IQ, physicality, and two-way play, making him a potential middle-six forward in the NHL. Nesbitt has strong indigenous ties to the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory and contributed to Canada’s gold medal win at the U-18 World Championship, scoring five points in six games. His skating speed needs improvement, but his size and smarts make him a promising prospect, ranked as high as No. 15 among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting.

Maybe he becomes the next Flyers great Centerman.
