Will the real Flyers stand up!!!! My gosh what a wild game between the Flyers and the Minnesota Wild this afternoon. The orange and black were up 2-0 in the first, then the floodgates opened for Minnesota, and the eventually pulled ahead 4-3. Fortunately, it was Sean Couturier day at the Wells Fargo Center, a long with his line of Travis Konecny and Matvei Michkov. This trip combined for 12 points (Five goals, seven assists).

The Flyers have been inconsistent with scoring goals early in the season. They need to do a much better job at scoring, meaning they have to get to the greasy areas to pot goals, and just put the puck on net for juicy rebounds.

Sean Couturier registered his hat trick in the third period, and that was great for him. He has taken a lot of criticism from fans lately, most staring he’s lost a step. He proved his naysayers wrong with this tilt, as he registered three goals and two assists.

Overall, this was a great victory for the Flyers to get themselves feeling good about themselves again. They really needed this victory, and it snaps their six game losing streak.

Cam York and Jett Luchanko

Cam York was placed on IR (Injured Reserve) before the game. Per the Flyers, he will miss at least two weeks with an upper body injury.

Jett Luchanko was sent back to his Junior team in the Guelph Storm. He made a big impression with the Flyers, and he could possibly be traded for assets to the London Knights or Barrie Colts.
