The Flyers extended their season long winning streak to three games last night. Travis Konecny had a big game with two goals and one assist. Konecny has been on a tear here as of late, as he now has 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points on the season, in just 18 games played.
Travis Sanheim had another monster game, both offensively and defensively. He had one goal and one assist, but his skating was impeccable. Sanheim played another 27:38 last night, and he made defensive play after defensive play.
Matvei Michkov registered two assists, as he now leads all NHL rookies with 15 points (6g,9a). He also leads all rookies in goals with six. Michkov’s vision of the ice was impeccable once again, as he made a beautiful pass to Travis Konecny on a 3-on-0. He also took a great picture with Erik Johnson following the game.
Erik Johnson’s Special Night
Erik Johnson played in his 1,000th NHL game last night. He loves being a Flyer, and the team means a lot to him, “This is one of my favorite places, if not the most favorite places I’ve played. I love being a Flyer and come to the rink every day,” Erik Johnson said.
Ironically enough, he played very well in his 1,000th NHL game. Johnson blocked shots and limited Sabres second chances. All in all, it was a great game to be a part of.
