The Flyers are already without the services of Sean Couturier, Ryan Ellis (Season most likely), and Bobby Brink. Fortunately, Cam Atkinson and Carter Hart were practicing with the team for non-contact purposes, and the Flyers officially confirmed today that both aforementioned players have been indeed cleared to do such (Non-Contact practicing).
The good news is Joel Farabee has been cleared for contact, He is ready to go, and will play in the home opener on Thursday against the New Jersey Devils, “I feel good,” he said on Friday.
It is unbelievable that Joel Farabee is on track to play for the home opener next Thursday, considering he had the same surgery on his neck like Jack Eichel previously. Either way, Farabee is an integral part to the overall success of the orange and black.
Flipping to Carter Hart, “I’ll be ready. We’re just more so being cautious than anything,” Hart said. “Making sure I’m at 100 percent. It’s a long year, just making sure everybody is fully healthy and ready to go every night.”

He added, “It’s getting better, it’s getting better, and I’m on track for next Thursday.” Tortorella though cannot actually confirm Hart’s status for Thursday, but at least he’s on track to start.
This young man has electrified the fan base, and has cemented himself as the guy between the pipes for the orange and black for years to come.
Every Flyers fan needs a pick me up right now, and this is as good as news as one can get. Hart is only 24-years-old, but he is a major piece to the overall success of the Flyers. Hart is vital to this unit, so let’s hope he can stay healthy.
