The Flyers have signed Antoine Roussel to a PTO, and he has been invited to Flyers Training Camp that opens on Thursday (On-Ice portion). He confirmed it below in this article:

Roussel states, “I’m glad. This is a team that we had targeted to try to get a contract and I think they have room. It’s exciting and it’s a great opportunity.”

The 32-year-old and known agitator, Left Winger, was an unrestricted free agent after the Arizona Coyotes elected to not re-sign following the 2021-22 season. Roussel finished with four goals and four assists in 53-games with the Coyotes last season.

Maybe John Tortorella wanted more toughness within the lineup, or maybe Roussel is a good locker room piece as he preached the Flyers would be tougher to play against this season on more than one occasion. One thing is for certain he will stick up for any teammate, as he is not afraid to drop the mitts. If he does win a contract out of camp this will be the fourth he has played for in his career.
