The Flyers six game point streak came to a halt against the New York Rangers this past Wednesday night. Since then, they have lost two in a row, both against Metropolitan Divisional opponents.
Unfortunately, the orange and black looked out of sync with one another, and they just had trouble mustering any type of offense. That has been the rhyme all season long, the offense has been like a rollercoaster. One game they look dominant, the next not so much.
Until the offense finds some consistency, then they will have trouble getting over the hump to make the playoffs. The Goaltending was much, much better this week, between starts for Samuel Ersson and Ivan Fedotov.
All games are very important before the NHL breaks for the Four Nations Tournament. They have some big important matchups with Metropolitan Divisional goes again this week, with the likes of the New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders.
Believe it or not, the Flyers will face a familiar person this week against the Islanders, Tony DeAngelo. He made his Islanders Debut last night, and he assisted on the game winning goal.
