Since the Flyers trade, there have been multiple blockbuster moves in the NBA, and the Philadelphia Eagles left yesterday for Super Bowl week in New Orleans. To make matters worse, Morgan Frost, a Calgary Flames, has scored before the Flyers have ven potted a goal.

Yesterday, The Flyers were a team that was not moping due to the losses of their friends in Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost, rather they played up to their competition in the Colorado Avalanche for the most part..

The score wasn’t indicative of that, in a 2-0 drubbing to the Avalanche, but Samuel Ersson was again great. The Flyers actually controlled to play in the first period, and believe it or not had eight shots on net to the Avalanche 0 at one point.

Unfortunately, the orange and black just cannot buy a goal Right now, and they have made history. History in the wrong way, as they have now been shut out for three straight games for the first time in Flyers franchise history. It’s crazy how hockey is at times, sometimes the better teams on a given night don’t win.

They just have to keep plugging through, maybe with or without Rasmus Ristolainen. Ristolainen got injured, and did not play the third period. Flyers’ Head Coach John Tortorella do not have an update following the game.
