Flyers Final Homegame

Flyers fans might not like the first pick of the third round, but they drafted in another goaltender Egor Zavragin G with their first pick in the third round at 87.

He’s a young netminder, with a lot of upside. Zavragin is a native of Russia and he finished last season with a .920 Save Percentage in the MHL. He becomes the second goaltender selected in this draft by the Flyers, which they wanted to replenish this part of the Flyers farm system. This might not bode well for Ivan Fedotov to come to North America, and I wonder if the Flyers know this.

Second Selection

The Flyers second pick in the third round was Denver Barkey. He’s a Center that plays in the OHL for the London Knights, and is a teammate of a Flyers first round selection in Oliver Bonk.

This kid can absolutely fly, and score some big goals in big moments. There’s lots of upside to this young man, and the Flyers can be patient with his development.

The London Knights are a renown hockey program in the OHL, so the Flyers can trust Barkey’s development.
