Who were these Flyers that played Anaheim last night. They came out and really played a game against the Ducks. It finally ended their losing skid too at four games.
There are plenty of games left for the orange and black to possibly make a run for the playoffs. Does that mean the Flyers are playing better? Well no, they still need to prove they have adequate Goaltending, and possess finishing for goals, to make at least the second Wild Card spot for the playoffs.
This game against the Ducks could be a start, to iginite this team to go on a winning streak. They need to play with the same mentality, as they did against the Ducks the rest of the way.
Of course, not every game is a winnable for this young orange and black team. As the game wears on lately, the Flyers seem to play better. Weird right!!!! They need consistency at the Goaltending position, but offensively, as well.
They need to focus on closing out the season with consistency. They need to use this game against the Ducks as a springboard for how they should play the rest of the season.
“I think it’s a bunch of bullshit. All I told our team is let’s worry about ourselves and play a hockey game. The bullshit is for you guys. All the drama, that’s for you guys, whatever you need to do with it. I hope we can play in front of a crowd like that about something meaningful,” Flyers’ Head Coach John Tortorella said Post-game.
