Power failure or not, this was the Flyers night. It was a fantastic night for Bobby Brink, who returned from Lehigh. In addition, it was a great night for Samuel Ersson and Tyson Foerster yet again. Both Brink and Foerster tallied goals yesterday, as Foerster now has four goals in his last three games played. Brink netted his eighth of the season, “Just keep playing the same way, keep it simple,” Tyson Foerster said. “The fans were great, no music or anything (Power Outage), kind of weird.”
Believe it or not, Bobby Brink scored his eighth goal of the season, and then there was a delay in the action due to a partial power outage. Nothing was working in the stadium besides the lights., but they kept chugging, “They asked me if you want to play, I did,” John Tortorella said following the game. “We (Jon Cooper too) both decided let’s ask the goalies. We are up 1-0 at that time. I don’t think Erss was too crazy about it. I really don’t give a shit what Erss was, we’re up 1-0.”
“I thought old school, maybe 50 years ago hockey, definitely different, but we found a way,” Samuel Ersson said.
While the power was being restored in the second period, the Lightning scored tying the game at 1. Unfortunately, they could not capitalize with the man advantage, but everything else was going good for the Flyers in this tilt against a good Tampa Bay Lightning team.
The floodgates opened for the Flyers as the onslaught continued against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the third period. They used five third period goals to propel them to victory, a massive victory with the final beng 6-2, and Tortorella was left with a battle scar
Jamie Drysdale
Jamie Drysdale was placed on injured reserve (IR) today. This makes three players on IR now for the Flyers: Ryan Ellis, Jamie Drysdale, Rasmus Ristolainen
I would think a call-up may transpire
