Fingers crossed for Dan Vladar to return tonight—he’s been out since mid-January with a lower-body injury. It stemmed from that game against the Buffalo Sabres where he left after the first period.

- Flyers Head Coach Rick Tocchet said earlier this week that Vladar was close and expected back this week.
- As of yesterday (Jan 27), Vladar was on the ice practicing with Goaltending Coach Kim Dillabaugh, and reporters noted he looked ready—some thought the back-to-back games (possibly Wed/Thu) could be his return window.
- He’s been skating and progressing well, listed as day-to-day initially, then went on IR (retroactive), but the vibe is optimistic he’s nearing activation.

Sam Ersson has been holding it down in net during his absence, but Vladar’s been solid as their Number One this season before getting hurt. He’s also got that Olympic motivation for Czechia coming up, so hopefully he’s back and sharp soon. The Flyers can definitely use his help.
