Things are not looking good for the Flyers. After starting hot, following the Four Nations break. They now have lost three in a row.

“You come out of the break, and you’re playing well” Flyers’ Head Coach John Tortorella said. “I don’t have an answer why it changes, I don’t. This is the National Hockey League, and comes and goes. We are headed in the wrong direction. Something has to spark us, to get us going in the right direction.”

The Flyers are just looking down right terrible right now, and it started before the trade deadline. If this continues they will not be in the race for the last Wild Card spot, which is looking very bleak at the moment to obtain.

The youth have to start stepping up, minus Matvei Michkov who has been fantastic. These players need to start stepping up in a big way, most notably Samuel Ersson.

The Seattle Kraken were not a very good team. They have deficiencies, much like the Flyers. What the Flyers need to do is try to win and score more goals, for Samuel Ersson to stop the puck. Make just saves to keep the team in it.

The Flyers need to figure it out fast, as they are facing their rivals in the New Jersey Devils today at 1pm.

“Obviously, Laughty was a big vocal leader for us,” Travis Sanheim said following the game. “Did a lot for this team. In saying that, this is a business. Guys have to step up, we have to play better. We miss him a lot. A great example in this locker room.”

  1. The Flyers are repeating last year You can’t tell players that you can’t fall in love with them and then make trades for the future because they then doubt whether they will be on the team in the future. Makes them unstable. And Errson is not going to win you a cup.
I personally would go 100% into the future and start realizing you can trade Couturier, York, Drysdale, ect… Grebenkin, Bonk, McDonald, Barney, Luchenko should all be on the team next year. But you need to trade more players to make room and then sign one free agent ( hopefully Kuzmenko)
I am excited about the draft and believe 3 of these players will be on the 26-27 team. If you look at it that way, it is much easier to make a forward plan of action. Let’s go Flyers !!
