After a wild weekend, the Flyers currently sit in a playoff spot as of April 6, 2026. They’re firmly on the bubble in one of the tightest Eastern Conference races in recent memory.

  • Flyers record: 39-26-12 (90 points) through 77 games
  • In the Metropolitan Division: 3rd place, behind Carolina and Pittsburgh.
  • Wild-card picture: The Ottawa Senators currently lead, with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Detroit Red Wings right behind them).
  • Key disadvantage: Fewer regulation wins than most competitors, which hurts in tiebreakers. They’d likely need to finish with more total points to clinch.

The Flyers have shown real fight down the stretch:

  • Recent wins include a solid 4-1 victory over the New York Islanders and 2-1 overtime victory over the Boston Bruins
  • They’re riding a strong stretch (7-3-0)
  • Contributions from Travis Konecny (a consistent point producer), Matvei Michkov, and good Goaltending have kept them alive

With a handful of games left (including matchups vs New Jersey, Detroit, etc.), every point is critical. Playoffs are slated to begin on April 18, 2026, so it’s going to be a wild few weeks here.
