How can the NHL not put rivals such as the Flyers and Penguins in the same division? Well, apparently this won’t happen (As reported in previous weeks), as both teams will be in the same division…Thank God for that.

Yes, the Flyers are indicated as (Pha), and the Penguins are indicated as (Pgh) by insider Pierre LeBrun. The NHL makes a smart move by placing these two foes in the Flyers and Penguins in the same division, as ratings are a big factor with this decision. For whatever reason, each time the Flyers and Penguins play each other usually something crazy happens, and hockey fans love that type of stuff. It’s just an indescribable atmosphere.

The Flyers and Penguins have a rich, unique history of playing one another. Yes, the Flyers lead the Penguins in the series All-Time 178–114–30–11 (PHI), and the Flyers currently own the longest winning streak with a span of 15 games when they face one another.

Remember when Scott Hartnell did the “Hulk Hogan”…I mean these are some memories that will never be forgotten by both franchises. Sidney Crosby will always be known as the “Crybaby” in Philadelphia, and Crosby made it be known that he does not like Philadelphia. After a playoff game in 2012, Crosby said to the media:

“I don’t like them, I don’t like any guy on their team.”- Sidney Crosby said of the Flyers in 2012.

Flyers fans be sure to check out best cheesesteaks in Philadelphia Jim’s South Street. Flyers fans love this place

Let the rivalry live on, and let’s drop the puck. The greatest sport on Earth is about to live on.
